The StratREAL Foundation works to improve the lives of young people around the world. Since its inception in 2003, the Foundation has focussed on investing in the welfare of children and young people, in particular the three key areas of education, health and housing.
Education: A fundamental human right and one of the most powerful tools in the fight against poverty, yet 125 million children still do not go to school. Others are given no chance to explore their potential or broaden their horizons.
Health: Many of the medical conditions from which countless children routinely suffer and die could easily be avoided if appropriate care and treatment were available to them.
Housing: Poor housing contributes to the disease, violence and misery of which children are so often the victims.
In the second phase of its strategy, the Foundation will prioritise support for partnerships that bring together the skills and experience to develop and implement projects that take a synergetic approach. We are challenging our partners to highlight programmes that go beyond the core competencies of their organisations, to find ways to work together to bring incremental benefit to young people without the additional overheads or bureaucracy normally associated with significant new initiatives.
