UNESCO and StratREAL Foundation start programme: Entrepreneurship Education in the Arab States Region
The project's overall objective is to contribute to the development of educational policies and programmes that integrate entrepreneurship education in the education systems of the Middle East and North Africa. It aims to support decision-makers in the region in the development of entrepreneurship education policies and programmes.
Over the next four years, with the StratREAL Foundation's support, UNESCO-UNEVOC will compile and disseminate innovative and successful experiences of entrepreneurship education from different countries in the region in Arabic and English.
This study will be followed by the selection of three countries whose governments will receive tailored technical support for the development of strategic plans to facilitate the incorporation of the concept of entrepreneurship education in their educational system.
UNEVOC is UNESCO's specialist international centre for technical and vocational education and training and leads UNESCO's work with Member States on improvements to skills development to increase the life chances of young people in developing countries, countries in transition and countries emerging from conflict.
The StratREAL Foundation is a charitable organisation that aims to unlock the potential in the lives of marginalised young people. Launched in 2003, the Foundation operates in Europe and the Middle East. From its bases in London and New York, the StratREAL Foundation engages with local youth organisations in the areas of education, the arts, leadership and health and connects them to the expertise and funding that can make a real difference.
